Is the triumph of the failure?
The title of the exhibition “From the relative truth to the absolute error” works as metaphor about both philosophic and scientific concepts, playing with the notions of absolute and relative truth, the error as a kind of element of measure, between relativism and dialectic.
Today, the errors, and failures are confronting permanently with the social pressure to follow the preconception of the stereotyped ideas of successful and perfection, as main motor of the all social life in the contemporary western societies.
This exhibition is a manifesto, is a kind of answer against the passivity and scepticism, apparently related with the residual position of relativism imposed during decadent decades of post-modernism. Is a trigger to introduce the audience into the International Errorist movement, entering inside a labyrinth of errors, and failures which is basically based in an empiric research in the daily own life. Front of the usually unmotivated audience of the art media, is time to recover our most beautiful contradictions and try try to shake again the mass movement of multitudes of consumers with the fear to fail, or just afraid to take incorrect decisions.

“Truth and error, like all thought-concepts which move in polar opposites, have absolute validity only in an extremely limited field… as first elements of dialectics, which deal precisely with the inadequacy of all polar opposites. As soon as we apply the antithesis between truth and error outside of that narrow field which has been referred to above it becomes relative and therefore unserviceable for exact scientific modes of expression; and if we attempt to apply it as absolutely valid outside that field we really find ourselves altogether beaten: both poles of the antithesis become transformed into their opposites, truth becomes error and error truth” F. Errorist World Map http://www.smartprojectspace.

Entering to the first room, the head/heart of the exhibition, this map is a geopolitically uncorrected representation which doesn’t try to find accurate data. A game of representation of another possible cartographies, where the world is reversed , and the point of view depend of an imperfect drawing in an “glocal” attempt of networks in the erratic lives of this movement.
On the installation you can find all the clues needed to find you on the path of error-ism. This is also, a place to remember the glorious moment of the foundation of this movement and how was spreading around the all world. Is an space to discover how some errorist cells in the southern cone of Latin America, currently carried out more than five years of propaganda campaigns, actions and erratic distribution of knowledge, through texts printed on the walls of Brian Holmes, Stephen Wright, Franco Berardi (Bifo) among others.

Error Arsenal http://www.smartprojectspace.
By mistake a lovely arsenal was discovered in an undercover headquarters of the "international errorist" which was raided. Fortunately no one had to escape, but all of them escaped. Three dozen hand grenades hand painted, stuttering singer’s revolvers, erotic Keffiyehs, mix language manifestos, enormous flags and illusions about the new revolutions are lying on the table.
The secret bureau is not only imaginary. It’s here, around us, we can play with toys like children’s ... if we can imagine or believe, just for one second, that representation is reality and reality is representation.

How an organization operates with these erratic characteristics?
Where is the symbolic value behind the images? Could be possible to “use” the imagination?

The Errorist Kabaret http://www.smartprojectspace.
The installation was commissioned in 2009 during a residency in Turkey at Platform Garanti in Istanbul, as part of the 11th Istanbul Biennial “What keeps mankind alive?” a sentence taken from Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weil play The Threepenny Opera.
The installation is composed of more than 30 paintings set inside a theatre stage surrounded by various life-sized characters, called 'gente armada', which means both 'armed' and 'constructed' people, representing different personalities from Turkey and other parts of the world in a surreal discussion about hopes and desires which takes place between intellectuals, artists, revolutionaries and people speaking with desirable objects. Hearing the opinion of a bottle of wine, a teacup or an ashtray creates a comedy of socio-political reality from an unconstrained, errorist perspective discussing the paradigmatic situation of avant garde representation today. The theatrical stage is open, leaving protagonism to the common audience and participation between the artworks, tables and cardboard figures distributed everywhere. Here bottles can think, tables chat with paintings, glasses drink, people and ashtrays are always full of poetry. The room is full; there is a special show today, welcome to the Errorist Kabaret!

Museum Songspiel – The Netherlands 20XX (Space 6) by Chto Delat?
The Revolutions through affect: "From Relative Truth to the Absolute Error" comes as continuity of the exhibition showed previously “What is to be done? Between Tragedy and Farce” by Chto Delat? (what is to be done?) platform. The collaboration between Etcetera… and Chto Delat? started about five years ago, the 1th may of 2005, during the debates celebrated in the framework of the exhibition “Collective Creativity” curate by the curatorial collective WHW (What How and for Whom) in Friedericianum Museum in Kassel, Germany. In that poetic politic laboratory a “Russian Tango” cocktail has born, and since then a more dynamic dialogue between both collectives in different formats of collaborations like magazines, conferences, exhibitions or midnight assemblies.
